If your looking for some nice places to drive in Dublin we have put out heads together and come up with a top three. Here they are:

1: Phoenix Park
Dublin is proud to have Europe’s largest public park in a city area. Phoenix park really is massive and you’ll need your car to get around all of it. You can can visit the zoo, the sports fields areas, see wild deer, explore the woods or visit farmleigh house which runs a market each month.

2: Dublin Mountain
Twenty minutes out of the city and your in the Dublin and Wicklow mountains. Who not drive up to Jonnie Foxes pub on the Dublin Mountain. Park up your car then take a walk to the ruins of the HellFire Club. The have stroll around the woods before returning to Johnnies for a pint of guinness (not for the Driver of course).

3: Killiney Hill
Killiney Hill is the southern boundary of Dublin Bay. The hill has great view of Dublin, the Irish sea and the Welsh mountains and the Dublin mountains. Bring a picnic!

Statistics show that more and more people are choosing to rent rather than buy. With the low cost of rental and the high cost of insurance and tax it makes complete sense for anyone using a car no more than once every two weeks for a semi long trip to hire! You just have to do the maths to see that you can save thousands a year. And thats not even including the cost of the car.

We have had a slow week with car rentals due to the weather but at last we got back to business as usual. Popular during the frost were our bigger heavier models – a change from normal. The extra weight reduces the risk of sliding… thats why Dublin Bus could keep going in the frost.
